This service allows CCTC students to get credit for their achievements and activities, and it will create an online profile at 价值的页面 that can be used for jobs, apprenticeships and references after graduation. Students can also share their accolades with friends and family to generate more interest and involvement in the opportunities Central Carolina Technical College offers.

How does Merit work?
Once your Merit page is created by CCTC, you’ll receive an email welcoming you to Merit, as well as your login information, with a temporary password.
When you click on the link to view your Merit page, you’ll be prompted to begin filling in important information using Facebook or LinkedIn, such as your bio, 照片, and work experience. These fields can also be changed after you import information.
When Central Carolina updates your Merit page with achievements you’ll receive an email with a link to view your story online, which you can then share on your social media accounts if you choose to.

- A Merit profile creates a positive online identity for post-graduation success. A CCTC student’s Merit profile is a way for them to shine online to potential employers and others after graduation. The profile can travel with a student if they transfer to another university that uses Merit.
- Students who are featured will be informed of the announcement through their college email address and encouraged to share their accomplishments with family and friends on social media channels, such as Facebook, 推特, Instagram and LinkedIn. This will reinforce the positive accomplishment and will reflect positively on Central Carolina as a whole.
- Student achievements are shared with former high school counselors, local news media and current legislators in the student’s hometown.
